Hannah S. Hess

Born in Germany, I came to the US via Ecuador, speaking no English. I was educated in the NYC public schools, and worked as a high school English teacher, assistant principal, and principal there. I'm the mother of three grown children, grandmother of five, and married to poet and filmmaker, Walter Hess.

My first book, The Third Side of the Desk; How Parents can Change the Schools, was published in 1973.

Honest Deceptions is my first published novel.
